This is a picture taken by Tommy Bassett and I love the color of the doors. This picture represents, to me, the great hope that there is in Haiti as a way of true love and freedom. I enjoy seeing beyond the doors and discovering new realities.
THE PURPOSE OF THE FILM "BLOOMING HOPE: HARVESTING SMILES IN PORT-DE-PAIX" IS TO SHOW THE REALITY OF CHILDREN, WOMEN AND MEN WHO HAVE HOPE FOR THE FUTURE. THE FILM PORTRAYS HOW A FAIR-TRADE COFFEE COOPERATIVE, A FAIR-TRADE WOMEN’S ARTISAN INITIATIVE AND A SOLAR ENERGY PROJECT ARE PLANTING SEEDS OF TRANSFORMATION IN THE POOREST REGION OF HAITI. THE FILM IS AN INSPIRATIONAL PIECE OF ART, WHICH DEMONSTRATES THAT SEEDS OF HOPE CAN BE PLANTED AMONG THOSE WHO TRULY LOVE AND DESIRE IT.

I love this picture!
I love the doors, every time I pass through a doorway I check to be sure I am fully in the present, neither where I just was or where I am headed...
That's very nice Tommy. Your eyes captured such wonderful realities through your camera. Thanks for sharing that with us.
